The christmas flower of the Pacific - Merry Christmas!   Giving thanks for all that I have!

An unexpected half day off led to an unexpected celebratory drink - grateful to simply be here.

The sun goes down after a wonderful day spent in Erakor Village. Am so blessed to have met such a wonderful group of women - mana wahine!

Preparations for Sunday lunch cooked in the hot stones.  Coming here to visit is uplifting in so many ways - kindness and connection; simply being. It's a true gift.

A stunning tropical blossom - shape, colour, form, texture - these flowers have it all!

I have been neglecting my macro lens lately so this prompt provided the perfect chance to make the small and insignificant meaningful. I love the feathery texture of the tiniest of seed heads I picked as I walked home from work - reminding myself that it is all there in front of me, I just have to see.

I walked out into my kitchen/lounge this morning and the first thing I noticed was this tiny gecko under my front door.  He was eyeing up some ants as a tasty treat I think. I managed to be quiet enough to take this shot, although didn't have my phone on silent and as soon as he heard the click he beat a hasty retreat.  Then I marveled that this was the first thing I noticed this morning - that my eyes went straight to this tiny detail, this early morning visitor. And I gave thanks for that.

Each evening I pass by this beautiful tree and each day I enjoy its beauty and fragrance - the perfect Pacific flower!

This guy is always pretty happy as he greets me when I go for my surfing sessions!

I can't believe my Xmas holidays in Santo have begun! What a magical place to be!

Xmas day in Towoc.  What a beautiful place to be! Day started off with a swim under cloudy skies in the tropical waters - warm with spots cooled by natural underground springs - but the sun soon appeared!

I don't think you can get any more spectacular than these evening lights! Taken from the balcony of where I am staying in Santo - truly an amazing spectacle.

A secret hiding in the garden - hidden beauty is everywhere, if only we take the time to see.

A day spent at the wedding of some dear friends. Reflecting on what has been and what is to come. Giving thanks for all the blessings in my life.  Giving thanks for being able to see what happens when one trusts and has faith, but at the same time commits to showing up for oneself in the best way they can.

A walk through the bush, caves, canyons and rivers at Millennium Caves .  What is there about that is perhaps symbolic of my year, of my recent journey?  The challenges, going uphill, accepting and receiving help, going downhill, being scared, giving in and just floating, digging deep .... Meaning is to be found everywhere, in all the small details.

My arrangement of woven bags! I think I am addicted to them!  All bought from the families at the caves who were so happy for me to buy them as the money goes for the children's school fees.

The last day of 2015! And I ended as I started - with a stunning red bloom.  My wish for 2016 - that it is as stunning, challenging, exciting, scary, creative, quiet, noisy, love-filled as 2015!  365 days of taking a photo completed!
