I am formally trained in the field of community psychology, and have a PhD which focused on indigenous psychology in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Indigenous mental health and wellbeing has been a focus across a range of platforms. Research is a form of creative expression - the method, process and outcomes - these all engage our own creative senses as researchers, but more importantly the creative senses of our participants; those whose stories we are seeking to tell. With expertise in qualitative analysis, I am most drawn to the analytical process. How do we truly honour the richness of voices and tell the stories within research paradigms,. And how can these stories whether in research, policy or strategy settings move people to make a difference.
